How accurate are the captions?
EditBuddy uses Whisper for transcription with word-level timing. Accuracy is typically 95%+ on clean audio and degrades gracefully with background noise.
Are captions burned in or sidecar?
Both. Captions are placed as MOGRT instances on V4 so they render with the export. You can also extract a sidecar SRT for upload to YouTube or social platforms.
Can I customize the caption style?
Yes. EditBuddy ships with multiple MOGRT templates and you can edit any template in Essential Graphics like a normal MOGRT.
Does it stay in sync after I cut the timeline?
Captions are generated after silence and retake removal so they're already aligned to the trimmed timeline. If you make manual cuts later, re-run captions to refresh.
What languages are supported?
Whisper supports 90+ languages. English produces the highest accuracy; Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Portuguese, and Japanese are well-supported.
Can I add my own MOGRT?
