Is there a cap on how long I earn commission?
No cap, no expiry. Standard commission programs often pay for only 12 months. EditBuddy pays 25% for every billing cycle your referred subscriber stays active — whether that's 1 year or 5 years.
What qualifies as a valid referral?
A referred subscriber is someone who clicks your affiliate link, then starts a paid Starter or Pro subscription within the 60-day cookie window. Free trial sign-ups don't count — only when the trial converts to a paid plan does commission start. Top-up purchases from an existing subscriber don't count toward new referral commissions.
Can I promote EditBuddy if I'm also promoting competitors?
Yes. There's no exclusivity requirement. Many affiliates compare EditBuddy side-by-side with other tools — honest comparisons tend to convert well because they build trust.
What if a subscriber upgrades from Starter to Pro?
Your commission automatically updates to reflect their new plan price. If they upgrade from $19 to $39, your cut goes from $4.75/mo to $9.75/mo starting from their next billing cycle.
What if a subscriber cancels and then resubscribes?
If they come back via your link again, you get credit. If they come back without clicking your link, the commission depends on whether the original 60-day cookie is still active on their device.
Are there prohibited promotion methods?
Yes. You may not: bid on EditBuddy branded keywords in paid search, send unsolicited email, use misleading discount claims, or post affiliate links in editorial content without clear disclosure. We check periodically and will terminate accounts that violate these rules.
How do I track my referrals and earnings?
Once approved, you'll receive access to your affiliate dashboard showing clicks, conversions, active subscribers, and monthly earnings in real time.
How do I apply?
Email affiliates@editbuddy.app with a brief description of where you'll promote EditBuddy (YouTube channel, blog, newsletter, etc.) and your current reach. We review applications within 2 business days.
