Phantom requires Apple silicon on macOS. Intel Macs are explicitly not supported, and Premiere Pro 2023 or later is a hard floor. A large number of working editors are still on 2019–2020 Intel iMacs and MacBook Pros that run Premiere perfectly well.

That arithmetic is real, but read it carefully — it is comparing different things. FireCut Pro is a whole suite; Wraith is one tool. Phantom's full range across its subscription and per-product pricing is not a clean like-for-like against a single FireCut plan. 3. Phantom's free tier is the real story

Phantom's AI Repeat Removal runs Gemini models — you can pick Flash for speed or Pro for accuracy — and does semantic analysis rather than pure string matching, so it understands when a speaker restarts a thought. For assembly cuts of interviews and talking-head footage, Phantom's approach is the better-designed one on paper.
